Tutoring

Mathematics is a subject which builds upon previously learned material thus, concepts learned at the beginning of a course will be used until the very last day.  It is EXTREMELY important for students to attend class daily, take detailed notes, complete classwork/homework assignments in a timely manner, ask questions to clarify understanding, make corrections on all problems missed, and to study for quizzes/tests on a regular basis as opposed to cramming the night before.

It is extremely difficult to get caught up once behind, therefore seeking help as soon as possible is very important. Start by asking a friend or classmate for assistance, try watching a Khan Academy video on the difficult concept or topic, attend tutoring sessions in the Library during Panther Period, or set up an appointment to work with me before or after school.

Rather than focusing on how difficult the information may be, invest your time in getting extra help. Mathematics is not simply learned by watching, but by doing.
