Parents' Right to Know Act
Overview
The Parents’ Right to Know Act (SB48/Act 2024-35), signed by Governor Kay Ivey in April 2024, requires all public schools to post current adopted curricula on school websites. The content standards and curricula for Hokes Bluff High School aligns with the Alabama State Course of Study. Standards for all courses can be found on the Alabama Learning Exchange website at https://alex.alsde.edu/.
Curriculum and materials adopted by the Etowah County School Board of Education are tools for instruction by the teacher and learning by the student. In addition to the listed items, individual educators retain the discretion to add resources to facilitate the mastery of specific educational standards. The majority of the curriculum and supplemental resources are accessible via your student’s Etowah County Schools’ device by using your student’s login credentials. For further information regarding resources available in your student’s classroom, you may email your student’s classroom teacher and/or school principal.
